??? -- 2001
- Born: sometime between 1983 and 1986, but not sure when.
- She found her way into the loading dock of my dormatory at MIT,
possibly left behind (it happens, especially with graduate students).
- Sweet personality, very patient, ruled with an iron paw, and loved
to sit and
contemplate the mysteries of the universe. She always loved to be
petted and had a power-purr that could be heard in the next county
like being picked up, but loves to be petted.
- Even when visiting a different house, she would seek out the computer.
- She dealt with chronic renal failure, probably starting as early
as July 2000. Initially, she was diagnosed having a thyroid problem,
but the diagnosis changed to chronic renal failure in November 2000.
At that time, she was given 1-6 months to live. She outlived
expectations, partly because of the energy healing she received from
my friend Phil Golinsky. Shortly after that, I learned the right way
to do energy healing.

1991--2007
- Adopted as a kitten 10/19/91 (from Fairfax Animal Shelter)
- Little princess who was very talkative (quacked, actually), didn't
like to be disturbed, and curled up next to those she loved. Sandy
was her best friend and years later, Isis treated her as a special
friend.
- Earned the nickname "Amanda Tapping" because she would gently tap
a person's arm when she wanted to be pet.
- Had arthritis for several years, but was too stubborn to use
assistance to get anywhere. In the later part of her life, she
developed several diseases that are common in elderly cats and
unfortunately they had contradictory methods of care. Her poor little
body wore out and she went peacefully on 8 May 2007.
- She is the kitty in my demonstration pictures for animal healing
techniques.

1996--2004
Ever go shopping at one of those pet stores like PetsMart where they
have shelters come in to show off their critters and hope someone will
adopt them?? Well, while shopping for Christmas gifts for Manda and
Sandy, this 6-week old ball of fur took me hostage...
- Adopted as a 6-week old kitten 12/16/96 from Riverside Animal
Rescue League
- Very sweet, inquisitive and cuddly, and had absolutely no concept
of his huge size. Although he was big, he was mostly fur. Most
people thought he was at least four pounds heavier than his actual
weight.
- Empathic, to the point that he would take on the pain of others.
I almost lost him after September 11, 2001 because of how sick he got
from all the raw emotions from that attack. He went through 2 rounds
of antibiotics (which tore up his stomach)and lots of energy healing
before he was on the road to recovery.
- Mother's Day 2004 I came home to a cat who was hiding and not
feeling well and I did not know what to do. The next day I took him
to the vet and it turned out his urinary tract was blocked. Although
the blockage was cleared, the medication and the trauma was too much
for him and he went into renal falure. He crossed the rainbow bridge
in May 2004.

Trepak as a 6-week old kitten learns to "box it up." Something
he learned while accompanying Mommy to work.

Trepak has 2 brothers and 1 sister. Here's a picture of his
two brothers. |

Trepak at 10 months old and 13 pounds. This is a
very rare picture of Trepak and Amanda together.
Amanda really didn't get along with male cats. |

They were mostly indoor cats, but were allowed outside on occasion, with
"parental supervision" and in the case of the resident
mischief makers, a leash.
